Captain Shawasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if, in arranging contracts for work in connection with the North of Scotland Hydro-Electric Schemes, he will see that the Board make it a condition that in no case shall more than 10 per cent. of the labour force involved be Irish.
Mr. JohnstonThe placing of contracts is a matter for the Board. I certainly hope that the labour employed in the carrying out of the Board's schemes will be recruited so far as possible in Scotland.
