Major Lloydasked the Secretary of State for Scotland in what degree it is proposed to fix priorities of labour and materials for houses built by local authorities or the State, houses built by private enterprise, hospitals and health centres, and school buildings.
Mr. JohnstonI assume the hon. Member has in mind the period following the end of the war in Europe. I am afraid the labour and supplies position could not at present be envisaged with sufficient accuracy to enable a scale of priorities to be fixed. The whole question of supply of labour and materials during that period is, however, under consideration by the Government.
