HC Deb 04 April 1944 vol 398 c1819W
Mr. Lewis

asked the Minister of Food for what reasons a limit has been imposed on the quantity of unfermented apple juice which may be produced.

Colonel Llewellin

Limitation on the output of this, as of many other food products, has been imposed in order to conserve labour, materials and transport. As I informed my hon. Friend in reply to his Question on 22nd March, the limit imposed on the production of unfermented apple juice is, however, higher than the former output of established producers and permits the full utilisation of their existing plant.
