§ Mr. Dobbieasked the Minister of Pensions whether he is yet in a position to make a statement in regard to the position of men discharged from His Majesty's Forces owing to disability, who are refused the issue of the white badge signifying that they have been so discharged; why some men, although having seen service overseas, some of them at Dunkirk and in receipt of a disability pension, are refused such badge; and whether he is aware of the dissatisfaction caused by such refusal?
§ Sir W. WomersleyI would refer the hon. Member to the answer on the subject given by the Prime Minister yesterday in reply to the hon. Member for Stroud (Mr. Perkins). I might add in regard to the second part of the Question that the badge is withheld from a disability pen422W sioner only when the disability arises from misconduct. There are very few such cases.
