HC Deb 23 September 1943 vol 392 c458W
Captain P. Macdonald

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he will investigate the complaints of soldiers serving with the Eighth Army that there is wholesale pilfering of cigarettes sent to them from friends in this country; that many parcels are never received at all; and that others which are received have half their contents missing?

Mr. A. Henderson

I am not aware of any general complaint such as is suggested by my hon. and gallant Friend's Question. But if he will forward me particulars of the cases he has in mind I will gladly have them investigated.
