§ Mr. E. BrownNo, Sir. This case has already been very carefully considered and I am advised that the practitioner in question cannot be spared from, or adequately replaced in, his present position. The necessary powers are conferred by Articles 54B and 58A of the Defence (General) Regulations, 1939. I am sending my hon. Friend a copy of a circular that I have issued to local authorities on the question.
