HC Deb 28 October 1943 vol 393 cc394-5W
Mr. Mainwaring

asked the Home Secretary whether, having regard to the severe condemnation uttered by High Court judges upon the manner in which police evidence was submitted in a recent Hereford case, and since this procedure is not at all singular, he will consider issuing a general instruction to the police of the country?

Mr. H. Morrison

The inquiry which I announced last week will include the manner in which the case was conducted by the police, and I shall be in a better position to consider the point raised by my hon. Friend's Question when the inquiry has been completed.
