HC Deb 26 October 1943 vol 393 cc51-2W
Colonel Carver

asked the Minister of Agriculture what percentage of the cereal crop in Yorkshire, Durham, Northumberland, Westmorland and Cumberland, respectively, has been spoiled by the bad weather and not satisfactorily harvested?

Mr. Hudson

I regret that it would not be in the public interest to give the information asked for by my hon. and gallant Friend. In any case such damage as has been suffered varies so widely from farm to farm that no general figure, even if published, could be anything but misleading.
