§ Rear-Admiral Beamishasked the Secretary of State for War whether he will give an approximate estimate of the number of British officers and men believed to have been transferred from Italian prisoners of war camps into Germany?
§ Sir J. GriggAt present I have nothing to add to the reply I gave to my hon. Friends the Members for Stockport (Wing-Commander Hulbert) and Plaistow (Mr. Thorne) on 12th October, except that I am much afraid that the bulk of the British prisoners who were in Italy are now in Germany or in German hands.
