HC Deb 12 October 1943 vol 392 cc735-6W
Mr. Boyce

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, with a view to effecting a number of urgently needed administrative economies, and to meeting the convenience of the public, he will consider arranging for issuing various licences, such as driving, wireless, gun and dog licences, for periods of more than one year as at present?

J. Anderson

I do not believe that State that these surplus notes should be the economies and convenience expected deposited in a bank or invested in war by my hon. Friend would be practice.
