§ Mr. Kirbyasked the Minister of Supply whether he is aware that many of the workers at a certain Royal Ordnance factory are dissatisfied with new hours of employment which compels them to work part-time or for 12 hours on end, whereas others in the same factory are working on regular eight-hour shifts; and will he take steps to abolish part-time employment except in cases where the workers concerned cannot work full time for domestic or other reasons?
§ Mr. SandysThe hours of work to which my hon. Friend refers apply only to part of one shop in the factory. This is a 1319W purely temporary arrangement and is at this moment under review.
