asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies when he proposes to establish a Settlement Board for Europeans in Tanganyika on the same lines as that already set up in Kenya?

As I explained on 3rd November in a reply to the hon. Member for West Leyton (Mr. Sorensen), the Settlement Section in Kenya is only concerned with settlement in the European areas of that Colony. There is no area in Tanganyika similarly reserved for Europeans, and a Settlement Board on the Kenya lines would not be appropriate in that Territory.
