§ Lieut.-Colonel Macnamaraasked the Minister of Agriculture whether, in view of the need for men to help with the food harvest, the war agricultural executive committees or the chambers of commerce or trade or any other similar bodies are authorised to advertise for workers; and, in such cases, whether the State defrays the costs?
Mr. HudsonMy Department is making arrangements with county war agricultural executive committees for local publicity, including Press advertisements, to secure supplementary labour for the harvest. The cost will be borne by the Exchequer.
