§ Colonel StanleyThe question of the use of films in adult education is being examined by my Education Advisory Committee and I will pass on my hon. and gallant Friend's suggestion to that committee for their consideration. Since October, 1939, however, a Colonial film unit of the Ministry of Information under the joint supervision of that Department and the Colonial Office has produced 69 films specially designed for African audiences. The question whether this 1113W organisation should be placed on a permanent basis will be considered later. The answer to the last part of the Question is in the affirmative.
