HC Deb 12 May 1943 vol 389 c643W
Dr. Peters

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of War Transport whether, having regard to the national importance of sustaining interest in the Youth Movement, his Ministry will reconsider its decision refusing road transport to a number of Girl Guides and Brownies from Ramsey, Huntingdonshire, to Huntingdon, in July, at a proposed rally to be attended by Lady Baden-Powell, having regard to the impossibility of rail or other transport facilities?

Mr. Noel-Baker

My noble Friend regrets that, for reasons which have already been communicated to my hon. Friend, he cannot alter the decision which has been made.
