HC Deb 11 March 1943 vol 387 c877W
Sir Smedley Crooke

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he has yet come to any decision on the suggestion made to him by the hon. Member for the Deritend Division of Birmingham, for amending the Invoices Order, which would remove the difficulties of price regulation committees and which he was examining?

Mr. Dalton

I have examined my hon. Friend's suggestion, but I am advised that it would not be within the powers conferred by the Goods and Services (Price Control) Act, 1941, to amend the Price Controlled Goods (Invoices) Order, 1941, as he suggests.
