§ Sir E. Graham-Littleasked the Minister of Health if he will consider extending Section 16 of the National Health Insurance Act, 1924, which provides that a society or committee may pay benefit to 675W an injured person by way of advance pending settlement of his claim under the Workmen's Compensation Acts, by providing that the injured person shall be entitled to insist on such advance being made?
§ Mr. E. BrownI do not think that it is necessary to amend the provisions of section 52 (1) of the National Health Insurance Act, 1936, which has replaced section 16 (4) of the National Health Insurance Act, 1924, on the lines suggested by my hon. Friend, as I have no reason to doubt that approved societies make free use of their power under that section.
