HendersonIn accordance with instructions issued by the War Office where civil defence, fire-guard or fire prevention duties are performed by members of the Home Guard they are carried out as part of Home Guard military training or as an operational duty and may be counted as part of the maximum time they may be required to give to Home Guard training and duty. If my hon. Friend will send me particulars of the case he has in mind, I shall be glad to look into the matter further.
