§ Mr. AmeryIn 1942–43 the sum of £3,648,000 was paid to 7,404 persons in this country in respect of military and civil pensions earned by service in India. In addition, approximately £1,000,000 was paid to the War Office on account of pensionary service rendered in India by officers and men of the British Army.
