§ Miss HorsbrughThe number of beds at present out of use at Standish House Sanatorium is 100. Of these 40 are children's beds which have had to be kept empty until satisfactory air raid protection, now nearing completion, could be provided. The opening of these beds, however, and of the 60 beds for adult patients, depends on getting additional domestic staff at the sanatorium and my right hon. Friend is making every effort, in collaboration with my right hon. Friend the Minister of Labour and National Service, to remedy the present staff shortage there as quickly as possible.
