HC Deb 26 January 1943 vol 386 c377W
Mr. Jackson

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware of the great shortage of children's shoes in many districts; and whether any steps are being taken to increase the supply?

Mr. Dalton

I am aware that there is still some shortage. The production of leather footwear for children has for some months been in excess of pre-war production and steps have been taken further to increase it so far as the supply situation allows.
