HC Deb 11 February 1943 vol 386 c1457W
Sir A. Baillie

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he can give an estimate of how much it would cost the State if civil servants were allowed to retire earlier than at the present age limit of 60 years?

Sir K. Wood

No, Sir. This would depend upon the number of civil servants who elected to retire and upon the age limit and rate of pension fixed for such earlier retirements.
