§ Mr. MabaneThe payments made by my Department for fat cattle are not based, as my hon. and gallant Friend appears to think, on gross weight only but also on the estimated killing-out percentage for each individual animal. My Noble Friend regrets that it would not be practicable, in existing circumstances, to introduce a further factor, such as the breed or quality of the animal, in determining the amount payable to the producer.
