Dr. Thomas

asked the Minister of Health the number of unaccompanied children evacuated from London, Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield, Leeds, Edinburgh and Glasgow in September, 1939; and also the number of children with their mothers evacuated from the same cities at that time?

I will send him the London figures together with particulars of the children evacuated with their mothers from the other towns. The information relating to Edinburgh and Glasgow has been supplied by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland.
