HC Deb 14 December 1943 vol 395 c1419W
Dr. Morgan

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he has yet seen the plans and visited the proposed site of the International Airport, Prestwich, Glasgow; whether the design and construction proposed by Mr. George Binnie has been compared with those for airports in other cities; whether the whole scheme has yet been considered by his departmental advisers and reported on; and whether, if approved, every facility will be given for the construction of this airport near Glasgow?

Mr. Johnston

I have visited Prestwick airport, which is at present under the control of the Air Ministry. Certain proposals for its development have been conveyed to my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Air, who has them under consideration.
