HC Deb 08 December 1943 vol 395 c980W
Sir M. Sueter

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that many of the relatives of prisoners of war in Japan have received no letters from them for some 18 months; and whether he will take steps to urge the Japanese Government, through neutral channels, to give more information about our prisoners of war and relieve the anxiety of their relatives?

Mr. A. Henderson

I would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the reply my right hon. Friend gave yesterday to my hon. Friends the Members for Stoke-on-Trent (Mr. E. Smith) and Burnley (Mr. Burke).
