HC Deb 07 December 1943 vol 395 c790W
Mr. Naylor

asked the Secretary of State for War if he has considered the particulars taken by the police of an accident which occurred in the morning black-out on Wednesday, 6th January, 1943, when Mrs. E. Hart, of 161, East Street, Southwark, was knocked down by an Army lorry as she was about to enter a tramcar in the Old Kent Road, Southwark; and whether he will consider the desirability of making a grant to Mrs. Hart, whose head and leg injuries necessitated her detention in hospital until November and whose clothes and other personal belongings were destroyed as a result of the accident?

Sir J. Grigg

This case is at present under consideration with Mrs. Hart's representatives.
