Hurdasked the President of the Board of Education whether he is aware of the success of the methods of the National College of Teachers of the Deaf, especially in training deaf children for a useful life; and whether he will consider how the training of deaf children may best be furthered by his new Education Bill?

I am aware of the valuable work performed by teachers in schools for the deaf and have informed the National College, which represents these teachers, that full consideration will be given to the suggestions they have made to me in regard to the education and training of deaf children.
