§ Colonel StanleyMy latest information is that the committee had completed the taking of oral evidence early this month1704W and that their draft report was being prepared. The committee, which is not an official body, has been operating for nearly two years and I have intimated more than once that it is my hope that they will expedite then proceedings. I cannot forecast the committee's recommendations.
