THE LORD CHANCELLORThe total expenditure of all Government Departments on Press advertising amounted to £1,966,200 in 1942, and the work was placed amongst 23 advertising concerns. An independent Advisory Committee was appointed by the Minister of Information in 1940 to advise on the selection of advertising agencies to be used; the present Chairman of this Committee is Sir Edward Barron, and the other members of the Committee are Mr. R. A. Brown, Mr. C. S. Millikin, and Mr. E. L. E. Thorneloe.
