HC Deb 13 April 1943 vol 388 c1070W
Mr. Charles Wood

asked the Postmaster-General whether he will introduce a service of airgraph letters to the United States of America; and what difficulties stand in the way of this step?

Captain Crookshank

His Majesty's Government would welcome the establishment of an airgraph service to the U.S.A., but unfortunately the shortage of equipment is such that the U.S. postal authorities, whose co-operation is of course essential, have hitherto found it impracticable to agree to the introduction of the service.
