HC Deb 10 September 1942 vol 383 c329W
Sir P. Hurd

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether the interrelation of English and Scottish agriculture and industry was discussed at his meeting with Scottish Members of Parliament in Edinburgh last week; whether the film then shown will be made available for general release; and how many of the 74 Scottish Members attended the meeting?

Mr. Johnston

The answer to the first part of the Question is in the negative. Of the six films shown to the Scottish M.P.s, four have been or are being exhibited in this country, either in cinemas or by Ministry of Information film vans; the other two are for distribution abroad by the British Council, but a version of one of them is being shown in this country by the Ministry of Information. Thirty Scottish members attended the meeting referred to.
