§ Mr. A. Edwards
asked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the general agreement that disabled service men's welfare should be the first charge upon the nation's resources, the Government will make a grant to the Haig Fund and avoid the waste of labour and materials in the manufacture of unnecessary articles to be sold for charity?
No, Sir. I am not prepared to adopt my hon. Friend's suggestion. I am glad of this opportunity of acknowledging the work done by various voluntary associations in finding employment for severely disabled men.
