HC Deb 22 October 1942 vol 383 cc2132-3W
Colonel Mills

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that compensation for loss of access and use has been refused to owners and occupiers of dwellings who have been ordered by competent military authority to vacate such dwellings because they lie within areas needed for defence purposes on the ground that no actual defence works have been erected on the property concerned; and whether he will review that decision of his chief land agent and valuer?

Sir J. Grigg

I am investigating the matter and will communicate with my hon. and gallant Friend.
