§ Mr. BevinAmong the total of 71,308 there were 15,615 boys under 18, including many who had just left school and have since found work. Of the balance of 55,693, more than half were registered for work in labouring occupations and the great bulk of these were registered for light work only. Generally it may be said that few remain on the register for more than a short time except those with some physical or other disability.
