asked the Home Secretary whether all fire-watchers will receive training in extinguishing modern incendiary bombs in order that they may be able effectively to carry out their duties?

In the recently made Compulsory Enrolment Order and the Business Premises (No. 3) Order, it is laid down that all enrolled fire guards, both men and women, shall receive instruction and training in methods of dealing with all types of incendiary bombs. Fire guards will receive training in all the subjects prescribed by the Orders, no matter what particular duties may have been allotted to them in any fire prevention scheme.
