§ Sir E. Graham-Littleasked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that cases of dermatitis amongst both coalminers and factory workers show an incidence for 1941 twice as great as for 1937; whether, in the case of factories, his department has received reports from its inspectors as regards conditions of ventilation, temperature, fatigue, facilities for cleansing the skin after work and other factors influencing the occurrence of dermatitis; whether provision of medical attention at factories has been reduced during the war; and whether he will consult with the Minister of Labour as to the best means of meeting this position?
§ Mr. E. BrownI understand that there are now more cases of dermatitis in industry than before the war. In regard to the second part of the Question, inspectors of factories report not to me but to my right hon. Friend the Minister of Labour and National Service with whom I will consult as to whether I can be of any assistance in the matter.
