HC Deb 25 November 1942 vol 385 c749W
Mr. R. Morgan

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer, in view of the urgent need of repairing several bombed buildings in different cities, what right of appeal exists against the collaboration of the War Damage Commission and the local authorities in holding up such repairs until town planning takes shape?

Sir K. Wood

The War Damage Commission performs in this matter a quasi-judicial function from which there is, as determined by Parliament, no appeal.
