§ Miss WilkinsonMy right hon. Friend proposes to increase the scale of issue to three per head with a margin to permit of periodic cleaning. This, I believe, will be in broad correspondence with the issues laid down for the Forces. Part of the additional supply should be available immediately, but it may take some time before the new scale can be fully met.
