§ Mr. David Adams
asked the Secretary of State for Air whether, for the evacuation of wounded or sick to hospital in the 2314W Middle East, it is intended to equip the Royal Army Medical Corps with ambulance aircraft; and whether the supply of drugs and medical equipment from this country and America for the various units are being fully maintained?
§ Sir A. Sinclair
In the Middle East, as in other theatres of operations, the evacuation of wounded or sick by air from the battle areas is undertaken by the Royal Air Force. Specially fitted transport aircraft are normally used for the purpose. I am advised by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for War that the answer to the second part of the Question is in the affirmative.
