Mr. David Adamsasked the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he is aware of the uneasiness caused in the Gambia Colony by the practice of denying to African customers the sale of articles exposed on the counters of local shops while the same articles are supplied immediately on demand to European and Syrian purchasers; whether any similar discrimination occurs in other British West African Colonies; and whether he will take action to discourage such discrimination?
