asked the Minister of Information whether His Majesty's Government still regard British film production as an important part of the war effort; and what action is proposed to ensure that the necessary facilities and staff are made available to enable the industry to carry on successfully?666W
§ Mr. Bracken
Yes, Sir. Films have proved a most valuable medium for presenting the British case abroad and informing the public at home. Both my right hon. Friend the President of the Board of Trade and I are giving the British film industry all the help we can towards maintaining production at the highest level possible in war-time.
