§ Mr. Kirbyasked the Minister of Supply whether his attention has been called to the fact that the Free Trade Legion, 38, Bedford Street, W.C.2, recently circularised Members of Parliament with seven sheets of printed matter in one envelope; and whether, in view of the shortage of paper and shipping difficulties, he will prevent organisations of this sort distributing pamphlets so lavishly?
§ Mr. PeatI have seen the publications referred to. I understand they were printed on a comparatively small quantity of paper taken from the general stock of the printer. I should be loth to become the censor of pamphlets to be distributed either to hon. Members or to the general public, but there are severe restrictions on the quantity of paper made available for general printing.
