HC Deb 23 July 1942 vol 382 cc187-8W
Mr. R. Morgan

asked the Minister of Information whether, in view of the fre- quent convictions of farmers and smallholders for cruelty to animals useful for human food, the various county war agricultural committees are required to investigate the desirability of depriving such defendants of any stock at all and to dispose of it, if they think fit, elsewhere in the district?

Mr. Hudson

I have been asked to reply. I cannot accept the implication contained in the first part of my hon. Friend's Question, and I do not consider it desirable to require the county war agricultural executive committees to act in the manner suggested in the second part.
