HC Deb 04 February 1942 vol 377 c1197W
Mr. Muff

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Works and Buildings whether he is aware that the Port of Hull Transport Control has performed transport services for his Department: that a sum of over £3,000 is owing, and that only £37 has been paid since last August; and if he will expedite the payment of accounts more promptly?

Mr. Hicks

Yes, Sir. These services started in October last and a payment of £1,195 for work done during that month was made recently. The delay in payment was due to the failure of the company to render accounts promptly and with adequate detail.
