HC Deb 04 February 1942 vol 377 c1192W
Mr. Muff

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether he will expedite the payment of accounts owing to the Port of Hull Transport Control, as £2,600 is owing and is long overdue?

Major Lloyd George

Inquiries have been made from the Port of Hull Transport Pool as to the composition of the amount of £2,600 said by my hon. Friend to be owing and long overdue. It is understood to include an amount of £935, of which my Department has no knowledge. The remainder represents December accounts, which have now been paid in the normal course, with the exception of one for about £700, Which has been referred back to the Transport Pool as the amount charged is in dispute.
