§ Mr. Stokes
asked the President of the Board of Trade whether, in view of the pronouncement by President Roosevelt that lease and lend is now at an end and that there will be no financial accounts kept between Great Britain and the United States of America, export trade from this country may now resume its normal flow so far as materials available permit?
§ Mr. Johnstone
No, Sir. The hon. Member has misread President Roosevelt's statement. In any case, the extension of the war is increasing the difficulties in regard to supplies of raw materials.
