HC Deb 15 December 1942 vol 385 cc1794-5W
Mr. Granville

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Works and Planning whether he will inform the trustees of Mendlesham Green Baptist Chapel what steps he proposes to take for compensation and eventual replacement of their iron railings which have been handed over to his Department for war purposes?

Mr. Hicks

I am making inquiries into the circumstances of the removal of the railings from Mendlesham Green Baptist Chapel, which I am informed had suffered war damage, and I will write to the hon. Member on the compensation position as soon as possible.
