HC Deb 15 December 1942 vol 385 c1798W
Mr. Viant

asked the Minister of Health to what extent he pays for the diphtheria immunisation slides shown in the cinemas in Southend; and how much has been paid during the last 12 months on this form of advertising?

Mr. E. Brown

The pictorial slides (but not those listing the local facilities for immunisation) are produced at the cost of the Exchequer and lent to local authorities. The total burden falling on the Exchequer during the last 12 months amounts to £30 plus postage to the 61 local authorities in whose areas these slides have been shown.
