Since I answered the Question put down by my hon. and gallant Friend the Member for Hornsey (Captain Gammans), on 17th November, further consideration has been given to the possibility of making more information available at the present juncture, and I am now able to state that the total payments made by the War Damage Commission to date amount to approximately £86,500,000.
